“It was amazing that she even heard my music, let alone liked it enough to put it on a list,” Cara recently told Yahoo Music. “She’s such a big, influential artist, so the fact that she did this is really cool because she knows that a lot of people are going to listen to her and that means that she believes in it.”
The adoration is clearly not undeserved. Alessia Cara writes many of her own lyrics and she’s got the vocal chops to hold her own too! She’s got a lot of what Taylor’s fans find appealing. Honesty, a genuine personality, some serious lyrical prowess, and the list goes on.
Taylor brought Alessia on stage as a special guest to perform ‘Here’ during her 1989 tour stop in Tampa Florida. Taylor has hand-picked a selection of artists to appear at her various 1989 tour dates across the world.
