It’s that time of year again where parents everywhere find themselves panicking to find a week’s worth of activities to keep kids entertained. Peel Art Gallery Museum + Archives (PAMA) is making things easier for parents with activities every single day throughout March Break.

Kids will have the opportunity to have fun with hands-on exhibitions in PAMA’s historic spaces and get creative with colourful, interactive art activities. Every day special guests will visit at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. as well.

Monday, March 11 
Children will discover the latest in hip-hop dance, music, and technology with special guests In the Mix. Learn the latest dance moves coupled with iPad technology to choreograph and participate in an on-the-spot music video! This program is suitable for children of all ages.

Tuesday, March 12 
Enjoy an exciting presentation by Mad Science Spin! Pop! Boom! and explore chemistry and physics in a whole new way. Learn how fun an exothermic reaction can be through experiments like Genie Out of a Bottle and a Giant Foam Snake and find out whether ‘Mad Scientist’ can flip a glass of water upside-down… without spilling a single drop. Create a pinwheel and see the colours change in the springtime wind.

Wednesday, March 13 
Applefun Puppetry; Little Red Rocket Ship takes you on a cosmic trip to the ‘Planet of the Grandmothers’. Create your own paper puppet or make your own cosmic rocket ship scene to take along with you. 

Thursday, March 14 
Step right up to the center ring for an incredible, family-friendly CIRCUS-themed magic show with The Amazing Corbin. Prepare to be amazed at this ‘old-timey’ carnival and wonderful surprises fit for the young and the young at heart. Experiment with colour mixing to create your own magical artwork. 

Friday, March 15 
Founded by award-winning percussionist Rick Shadrach Lazar, Samba Squad is an innovative group that is forging new directions by mixing world rhythms with the sound-power and street-feel of the drums of the Afro-Brazilian Samba tradition. Learn abstract painting techniques
