This month Netflix has scheduled more than 30 original offerings, from TV series, to stand-up specials, to original movies. The streaming service is also offering buzzed about movies like Lady Bird and The Disaster Artist as well as other classic faves like Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels; Notting Hill; Panic Room; and much more.
Here are our top five picks for what’s new on Netflix in June, along with all the other programming scheduled for the month. We’ve also included a list of what’s leaving Netflix in May so make sure you catch those movies and TV shows before they’re gone. For example, if you want to watch Marvel Studios’ Captain America: Civil War, Knocked Up, or The Grand Budapest Hotel, you better get on it!
Alex Strangelove: June 8
High school senior Alex Truelove has it all – the grades, the girlfriend, and the motley crew of hilarious friends. Everything is smooth sailing until Alex shares that he’s decided to part ways with his virginity – and meets Elliott, a sweet and confident gay boy who isn’t shy about his instant crush on Alex… who may or may not feel the same.
The Staircase: June 8
True crime fans, take note! The Staircase follows the story of Michael Peterson, a crime novelist accused of killing his wife Kathleen after she is found dead at the bottom of a staircase in their home, and the 16 year judicial battle that followed. Did he do it or not? You’ll have to watch to find out.

Voltron: Legendary Defender, Season 6: June 15

Luke Cage, Season 2: June 22
Harlem’s hero Luke Cage is bulletproof, but he’s not infallible. Now that the world knows he’s a superhero, he’s got even more problems than before. He has to juggle not only the bad guys (and women!) that we’ve seen before but also new threats like the powerful Bushmaster.
Glow, Season 2: June 29
