It’s going to be a very windy day in Brampton.
Environment Canada has issued a weather warning for Brampton and the surrounding area. Strong southwesterly winds with gusts up to 80 km/h.
The high winds are expected all day and into the evening, finally tapering off overnight.
Environment Canada is warning that damage may be caused to homes, including roof shingles and windows. It’s probably a good idea to stow away patio furniture, BBQs, garbage bins, and anything else that can blow away.
The last time Brampton had a wind storm, trees uprooted and power lines were downed causing outages across the city.
Should the high winds cause power outages in your area, you can track updates on the Alectra Utilities website.
