The World’s Largest Swimming Lesson is Happening in Brampton

World’s Largest Swimming Lesson™ (WLSL) is coming to Brampton to attempt to break the Guinness World Record currently held for the largest swimming lesson conducted at multiple venues.

WLSL, in partnership with Wet’n’Wild Toronto, Making Waves Swim School and William Osler Health Systems is hosting the world’s largest swim lesson on June 22 at the newly revamped Wet’n’Wild water park in the southeast corner of Brampton.

While swimmers in Brampton gear up to take to the water, others across the globe will do the same. The event brings out tens of thousands of individuals from hundreds of communities.

While the event is about fun, it also has a deeper purpose — ‘to raise awareness about drowning and the fact that swimming is a vital life-saving skill that every child should learn’.

The swimming lesson takes place on June 22 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. The actual lesson takes places at 5:45 p.m. and after it’s over, participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a few of the park’s attractions.

Register now for the event here.
