Canadian Pop Star Lights to Perform in Brampton on Canada Day

This Canada Day, Chinguacousy Park will have lots of gourmet food, craft beer, family-friendly activities, a spectacular fireworks show and exciting stage performances at Brampton’s biggest festival of the year.

The City of Brampton is proud to announce this year’s headliner, JUNO-award winning Canadian singer/songwriter Lights. The event will take place from noon to 10 pm on July 1, 2019.

Mainstage performances will begin at 6 pm with Brampton Arts Walk of Fame inductee and JUNO Award winner, Exco Levi and High Priest. Canadian pop-duo Elijah Woods x Jamie Fine will open for Lights, who will then headline the show with her high-energy, electronic performance that has sold out tours around the world.

There are also be activities hosted in the Community Area throughout the day with games, crafts, art installations, photo opportunities, community art projects, and many more. There is also a splash pad, petting zoo, mini-golf, and paddle boat ride. This will be available to all attendees from noon to 6 pm.

There will also be two new food zones this year with gourmet food trucks, vendors, and a craft beer garden. Guests are encouraged to bring reusable water bottles with them to use at water refilling stations throughout the park. There will also be a fireworks display at 10 pm to commemorate Canada’s birthday.

Chinguacousy Park is located at 9050 Bramalea Road. On-site parking is limited, and temporary road closures will be in place. Attendees are encouraged to walk, ride their bikes, or take advantage of the free shuttle service offered by Brampton Transit for the day.

  • Sheridan College
  • Gore Meadows Community Centre and Library
