Brampton native Roy Wood$ surprised us all right before Christmas with a 7-track project called ‘Noctural’ featuring MadeinTYO and label mate Maajid Jordan. The name of the project is a perfect description for the aesthetic of the album – a fitting listen for a gloomy December night.
Roy plays with some new sounds, including some string and house/electronic instrumentation.
This project was a nice follow-up to his debt release ‘Waking at Dawn’ and his summer hit ‘Gan Big Up Urself’. He just finished his first headlining tour ‘Unlocked’, ending it in Toronto on December 18th at the Mod Club.
