After years of offering DVDs and VHS tapes, the Brampton Public Library has now entered the streaming age when it comes to movies and TV shows. The library has partnered with Kanopy to offer movie streaming to any Brampton resident with a library card.

You won’t find many blockbuster hits on the service, but tons of films that don’t release in Brampton, including many art house and independent films, are offered on the service. There is also a giant selection of classic films like Metropolis and Nosferatu, and even some of the Criterion Collection.

The documentary section would probably help many people looking for hard-to-find materials for their school projects and assignments.

Parents and those who grew up watching kids cartoons in the 90s will find a giant selection of children’s movies and TV shows. Having fun isn’t hard, especially when you can binge watch Arthur with your Brampton Library card.

Kanopy is offered on the web, as well as on Android, iOS, Apple TV, Chromecast, and Roku devices.

After signing up with the service and linking your card library users can stream up to 10 movies a month, with each movie that users check out available for three days.
