February 27, 2024 – Spring is coming! Residents of Brampton, get ready to clean up your yards. Starting March 4, Peel Region is launching its yard waste collection program for the season, aiming to keep our neighborhoods clean and green.

The initiative, part of Peel’s waste management efforts, will see weekly pickups for Brampton and Mississauga residents, while urban areas in Caledon will have their yard waste collected every other week.

For those wondering about their pickup day, fret not. Simply consult your collection calendar or opt for convenient reminders available at peelregion.ca/waste/reminders.

Here are a few pointers to keep in mind:

  • Make sure your yard waste is ready and waiting by the curb by 7 a.m. on your designated collection day.
  • Use kraft yard waste bags or labeled containers for disposal; plastic bags won’t be accepted.
  • Note that Peel Region is no longer accepting grass clippings either at the curb or at Community Recycling Centres, so plan your waste disposal accordingly.

This program not only helps keep our neighborhoods clean but also promotes responsible waste management practices among residents. So let’s do our part and ensure that our yards stay tidy while contributing to a cleaner environment for all.

Happy spring cleaning!
